About Rudra Magnets workholding
Rudra Magnets is Teknik Enterprises' magnetic workholding principal, specialising in electro-permanent magnetic (EPM) chucks, heavy-duty magnetic lifters and magnetic separation systems for modern machine shops. Magnetic workholding replaces bulky mechanical clamps with a flat, uniform magnetic field that grips the entire underside of a workpiece — freeing all five sides of the part for machining in a single setup and removing the localised distortion that vices and toe-clamps introduce.
Because the clamping force is distributed across the whole contact face rather than concentrated at a few points, Rudra magnetic chucks hold irregular castings, thin plates and hardened blanks securely while keeping them perfectly flat. The electro-permanent design draws power only for a fraction of a second to magnetise or demagnetise the pole array, then holds mechanically — so the part stays clamped even during a complete power failure, making the technology inherently fail-safe.
